Suddenly Smart, a leader in innovative e-learning, won a coveted Brandon Hall gold award for its e-learning authoring tool, SmartBuilder, in the Innovation in Learning Technology category. The award was announced on September 25th in San Jose, Calif., as part of the 2008 Innovations in Learning Conference.

"The Suddenly Smart team has worked tirelessly to provide an authoring tool that empowers users to rapidly create truly effective e-learning," said Robert Penn, President of Suddenly Smart. "With this award, we feel that our mission has been validated."
Now in its 14th year, the Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Awards, presented annually by Brandon Hall Research, showcases exceptional work in the use of learning technology. A total of 246 entries were submitted in 10 categories. The winners are listed at www.brandon-hall.com.

"We are so impressed with the quality of this year's winning entries," said Brandon Hall, Ph.D., chairman of the Awards program. "These winners set the standard for what innovative learning looks like today."
Award winners were invited, "in the spirit of celebration, creativity and fun," to write a "very short statement" in the form of a haiku, limerick, or seven-word speech. Penn chose to air this haiku:
Fast is very good
Effective - even better
Smartbuilder does both
