Understanding that learners are more likely to apply concepts on the job if they are placed in contextually relevant situations, the instructional designers have used SmartBuilder's flexible authoring environment to develop scenarios that reflect the learners' actual work environments. They provide task-based exercises that require learners to make meaningful decisions and offer intrinsic feedback, such as a smile in the case of a correct answer, to show the consequences of learners' choices.
